Over the past month, we brought our community together with Brews + Bytes networking events in Charlotte and Asheville, while our team also attended the Annual Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) Conference in Philadelphia to gain fresh insights and best practices that will help strengthen NC TECH's programs and member experience.

Looking ahead, we're excited for a busy season with our Signature Golf Classic and Leadership Summit (there's still a few seats left!), followed by the Summit for Women in Tech in September. NC TECH is also embarking on a 90-day strategic planning process, engaging members and the broader technology community to help shape our future priorities and ensure we're delivering the greatest value to North Carolina's tech ecosystem.

Additionally, we’re launching new LinkedIn Groups to create more opportunities for year-round connection, collaboration, and conversation across our networks. We invite NC TECH members and members of North Carolina’s broader tech community to join these special interest groups, engage with peers, and stay connected around the topics and initiatives shaping our industry.

NC TECH's Strategic Planning is Underway - We Want Your Input!

Submit your input and feedback through the link below!

NC TECH has officially kicked off a strategic planning process to shape our future direction. We've brought on Ralegh based consulting firm, Stabilimenta, to guide us through this work over the coming months, gathering input from our leadership — including a Strategic Planning Committee — members, and partners through surveys, focus groups, and more.

We hope you'll be part of shaping where NC TECH goes next and the survey is now open — please take less than 10 minutes to complete it before August 17.

YTPN August Webinar Banner

YTPN: Building the Power to Lead (Virtual)

Most of us are taught that good work speaks for itself — Stanford professor Jeffrey Pfeffer's research says that's a myth, and that understanding how power actually works in organizations is what separates people who get promoted from people who just get praised.

In this session, Manny will share practical lessons from Pfeffer's "Building Power to Lead" course alongside real-world experience building influence as a cybersecurity executive, with a focus on what actually moves the needle on visibility, advancement, and pay. You'll leave with concrete, usable tactics for building influence and accelerating your career — no matter your role or title.
