June was a great start to the summer at NC TECH, bringing together members and technology professionals across the state through new opportunities to connect and engage. We welcomed a fantastic turnout at our Young Tech Professionals Network (YTPN) event at Drive Shack, launched the first meeting of our new Charlotte Collaborative Network to strengthen NC TECH's presence and engagement in one of the state's fastest-growing technology hubs, and continued building momentum for the 2026 NC TECH Awards applications. To give organizations additional time to showcase their innovation and leadership, we've extended the awards application deadline to July 8.
Looking ahead, we have an exciting lineup of opportunities to stay connected this summer. Join us at upcoming Brews + Bytes networking events, Member Drop-Ins, and our Mid-Year Impact Reports as we share the latest insights on NC TECH's progress. We're also looking forward to welcoming members and partners to Pinehurst in August for two of our signature events — the NC TECH Golf Classic and Leadership Summit — for networking, leadership development, and conversations shaping the future of technology in North Carolina.
Join NC TECH this August for two signature events that bring together North Carolina's technology leaders for networking, insights, and leadership development.
Kick things off on August 5 at the NC TECH Golf Classic, where business and technology executives connect on the course through friendly competition, networking, and the popular CIO Foursome program. Attendance is secured through sponsorship, with only a couple foursomes remaining.
Then continue the networking at the NC TECH Leadership Summit (August 5–6), focusing on the theme of Leadership in the Age of AI. Through keynote presentations, executive panels, and peer discussions, senior tech and business leaders will explore how AI is transforming organizations and what it takes to lead through change. Summit attendance is limited to 200 participants and is exclusive to NC TECH members.
Whether you join us for one event or both, Pinehurst is where North Carolina's technology community will gather to build relationships, exchange ideas, and shape the future of leadership.
The application deadline for the 2026 NC TECH Awards has been extended to July 8. The annual program, presented by Cherry Bekaert, recognizes the companies, organizations, and leaders driving innovation, growth, and impact across North Carolina’s technology ecosystem.
The awards spotlight excellence across three main areas: Company Performance, Core Innovation, and Individual Awards. Company Performance honors tech organizations demonstrating strong growth, market expansion, job creation, and product innovation, while Core Innovation recognizes organizations leveraging technology to solve complex challenges and transform industries. Individual Awards celebrate leaders whose achievements, influence, and impact have helped shape North Carolina’s tech sector.
Applications are open to eligible companies and organizations with a significant presence in North Carolina, and submissions are accepted across multiple categories, including areas like AI, cybersecurity, fintech, public sector innovation, sustainable tech, and tech-driven business transformation.
Submit your application by July 8th to be considered for recognition at the 2026 NC TECH Awards celebration on November 16 at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel Raleigh-Durham Airport at Research Triangle Park, where finalists and winners will be honored during the annual statewide awards event.
During the session, our team will provide a brief look back at the first half of 2026 and highlight upcoming initiatives. We will also share ways in which board and advisor leaders can help amplify our work and impact—through visibility, membership growth, community building, insight sharing, and support of key programs and events.

Join NC TECH for a Brews + Bytes in Charlotte! This event aims to bring together our network in a casual, intimate setting to connect. Light bites and drinks will be provided.
The CISO Executive Roundtable meets quarterly to discuss emerging topics, existing challenges, and strategies for defending their organizations from evolving threats. Participants engage in a virtual peer discussion with CISOs from various industries and from different regions across the state.
This roundtable is invite-only.
