NC TECH's Board of Advisors is an avenue for higher level engagement and visibility throughout the year for our Members. Advisors serve as a resource by providing advice and feedback; growing the organization through community outreach; and promoting NC TECH as the primary voice for North Carolina's tech sector. The caliber of participants is high, and there is strong mutual benefit. Participants have ranged from those who have interest in eventual service on our governing Board of Directors, to those who seek a more visible level of engagement with NC TECH leadership, to those who value the relationships that are developed here.
NC TECH Ambassadors are essential to growing and strengthening our community and member base. These rockstars know the value of being part of an association that brings companies together around technology, and can help new NC TECH members familiarize themselves with the benefits of membership. If you have a passion for what our association does, and you know that you can be a leader that helps enrich the experience of NC TECH for others, we want YOU to join the crew!
D+I in the workplace drives organizational innovation and improves the bottom line. Our Diversity + Inclusion in Tech network provides opportunities to hear from other organizations on their current D+I initiatives, resources for our members to utilize and deploy within their own teams, and a community in which to explore how others can work toward a more diverse + inclusive workplace.
While North Carolina ranks #1 in women in tech positions (according to NC STIR), there is still a tremendous opportunity to improve diversity in our workplaces. Participate in ongoing conversation about women in the tech sector. This series will explore the current state of women in tech, talk through how to ignite a passion in girls in STEM fields as well as other topics regarding women in the workplace and will challenge the status quo.
NC TECH is excited to launch Lean In Circles - a space where women can come together in small groups across roles and levels to get peer-to-peer mentorship, connect with each other, recognize and combat gender bias, and build leadership skills. Whether you need help navigating your new normal at work or are looking for support from women who understand what you're going through, your Circle can give you the boost we all need.
