Leadership Summit
THEME: AGILE LEADERSHIP
An annual favorite! The Leadership Summit, hosted by the NC TECH Board of Directors and Advisors, gathered executives from across North Carolina at the Pinehurst Resort for an opportunity to hear from influential leaders on various topics from talent and leadership to the economy. The agenda included keynote presentations, interactive panel discussions and plenty of time for networking. This summer, we explored how to transition from traditional leadership models to an environment that allows for greater openness to ideas and innovations.
More on Agile Leadership: Traditional leadership practices are outdated and ineffective in today’s workplace. Research has proven that over 70% of workers in America are actively disengaged and that managers are the number one cause of job dissatisfaction. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Agile Leadership is an entirely new approach to leading people. Agile leaders focus on the needs of others. They acknowledge other people’s perspectives, give them the care they need to meet their work and personal goals, involve them in decisions where appropriate, and build a sense of community within their teams. This leads to higher engagement, more trust, and stronger relationships with team members and other stakeholders.
