Member Spotlight: Silver Tree Consulting & Services
Silver Tree Consulting & Services has a clear vision: to bring enterprise-level IT expertise and capabilities to SMBs, midmarket companies, and nonprofit organizations. As the former Nortel CIO and Group President of Computer Sciences Corporation's Global Services business (now known as DXC) and Silver Tree's founder, Richard Ricks recognized, the challenges non-enterprise organizations face in accessing the same level of service, quality, and strategic insight as large corporations are real.
Leveraging decades of experience in senior IT leadership roles at large, global companies, Silver Tree addresses those gaps by providing tailored solutions that align with smaller companies' unique needs, budgets, and growth aspirations.
Just as important, Silver Tree has operated with a dual focus: delivering exceptional IT services and creating a meaningful impact in the community. This purpose-driven approach has shaped everything we do, from service delivery to corporate culture.
Today, we're proud to help our clients navigate their IT challenges while building stronger, more resilient communities through initiatives like our nonprofit, NextGen Thriving, which equips historically marginalized youth with life-changing skills..
What problem(s) are you currently solving for your customers?
At Silver Tree, we specialize in solving companies' complex challenges as they strive to align technology with their business goals. Our clients need more in-house resources, specialized expertise, or infrastructure to tackle complex issues like data readiness, digital transformation, and application or data modernization. We provide tailored solutions that bridge these gaps and empower organizations to compete effectively in today's fast-paced, tech-driven world.
Lately, a key focus has been on data readiness—ensuring our clients have clean, accurate, and well-organized data to drive advanced capabilities like AI and predictive analytics. We also address the complexities of IT management with offerings like Vigilance, our AI-enabled enterprise management platform, and IT360 Secure, a bundled managed service for SMBs. These solutions simplify operations, improve efficiency, and free our clients to focus on growing their businesses while we handle the day-to-day IT challenges.
While technology is just one component of our clients' challenges, it's also the people. Highly skilled individuals in in-demand roles that require a specialized skill set are often hard to find and expensive. Silver Tree provides flexible on-shore, near-shore, and offshore workforce solutions, ranging from a single hire to fully managed teams.
Tell us about some future plans for your organization.
Silver Tree's future is about driving innovation, expanding our capabilities, and deepening our impact on SMBs, midmarket companies, and nonprofits. A significant focus is enhancing our Vigilance platform, which delivers enterprise IT management solutions tailored for midmarket needs, and growing our IT360 Secure offering, a bundled managed service that provides SMBs with cost-effective, all-in-one IT management, security, and compliance.
We're also committed to advancing AI and data innovation. Recognizing that effective AI starts with data readiness, we help clients build the foundation they need—clean, accurate, and well-organized data to adopt and scale AI solutions confidently. Having the correct data ensures businesses can move beyond basic automation to leverage predictive analytics, personalized experiences, and strategic decision-making.
Additionally, we're expanding our cybersecurity offerings with services like AI-based penetration testing to help clients stay ahead of evolving threats. And last but not least, we are building on our community impact through NextGen Thriving, our nonprofit initiative that empowers underserved youth.
As we grow, our focus remains on enabling our clients to unlock the full potential of technology while navigating the challenges of their unique business environments.
