Lunch + Learn

Lunch + Learn: Leveraging Agile Across the Continuum

Most products and initiatives go through a cycle of strategy and analysis, planning and feasibility, development, and then adoption. Then you rinse and repeat that cycle as you iteratively improve your deliverables. In today's world Agile is often stereotyped as something that is focused on the development phase. However, we've helped innovative leaders use agile and lean principles to add value and performance across this entire continuum of launching products and initiatives. We believe that agile principles, tools, and techniques are useful in areas like strategy, planning, market feedback, and culture. Using real world scenarios, let's take a look at some of the ways we've seen agile create value outside of the traditional agile box.

About the Presenter

Scott Heffield, VP of Delivery – Veracity Solutions

Scott Heffield first saw the Agile Manifesto shortly after it was published. He had been a software developer for over 10 years at that time, and the ideas put forth in the Manifesto felt very familiar. It was as if someone had been inside his head and had compiled and improved a number of thoughts and conclusions he had about software development. As a developer on several well-performing agile teams, Scott quickly aligned with the productivity, empowerment, and fun of being part of a team which finds that high performing sweet spot. Scott is now passionate about helping to form and grow high performing teams. Scott is certified as a SAFe Advanced ScrumMaster and regularly consults with teams and companies looking to improve their output. He finds that the principles of performance and culture can apply beyond software development and enjoys applying them to other areas of life.
