Lunch + Learn

Lunch + Learn: How Communications Infrastructure Helps Charlotte Compete Today and Prepare for Tomorrow

Charlotte is one of America’s fastest growing metropolitan areas. As our city grows by nearly 60 people per day and smartphone adoption among Americans nears 80%, the demand for mobile data is increasing exponentially.

Join Crown Castle, the nation’s largest provider of shared communications infrastructure, and others for a discussion around the importance of wireless connectivity and how infrastructure solutions like fiber optic cable and small cell technology will enhance wireless coverage and capacity in the Queen City.

Our expert panel will offer unique perspectives from the public and private sectors speaking to how critical wireless connectivity is for Charlotte today and in the future, including keeping Charlotteans safe, attracting and retaining businesses, and supporting major events, such as the 2019 NBA All-Star Game and the 2020 Republican National Convention. Panelists will also explore how fiber optic cable and small cell technology will pave the way for next-generation networks such as 5G and power the Internet of Things (IoT).
